Word: “One of the seven angels … showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It was radiant with God’s glory! Its brilliance was like a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. … Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life can enter. … Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may … go through the gates into the city. Ever to remain outside of the city are the dogs – those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, murderers, idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” (Revelation 21:10-11,27; 22:14-15)
Wonder: God alone determines who can enter the Holy City forever, and who cannot. Only God can make people pure; people made holy to populate the Holy City. How open are you to his purifying work in you here and now that you might be with him then and there?
