great faith

Jesus-healing-no-parking

Word: Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” “Yes it is, Lord,’ she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. (Matthew 15:21-28)
Wonder: We all have our reasons to cry out “Lord, help me!” But are we as quick to have great faith in the one to whom we cry? Do we park ourselves in front of him and refuse to leave?

This is the sort of faith I want and this is the kind of trust Jesus is looking for in all of us.

  1. David: This label ( Fire lane, no parking) seems out of place, but in this time is a fact: Many people avoid to be close to Jesus.

This statment contradicts the Christ’s invitation: Come to me and be saved all.
Of course that Christ wants that we park around him! And you can be sure that no one evil’s tow is going to come for you, if we are joined to the Christ’s body we can not be towed!
