keep on praying

Read Ephesians 6:18-20.

Your mission today is simple – memorize the first sentence in vs.18:

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”

Now write that sentence down and look at it frequently throughout the course of today. And when you do, practice the second sentence in vs.18:

“With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

Say a one or two sentence prayer for one of your Christian brothers or sisters, whoever comes to mind as you deliberately pause to think about praying:

“… pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”

May you find this to be the start, or continuance, of a daily habit of prayer for you.

Heavenly Father, for all my kin in Christ who read this post today, I pray in His name. Stir their spirit with your Spirit to talk with you just as you have spoken to us. Amen.
