Read 2 Corinthians 5:11-15.
To be in our right mind is to selflessly live for the crucified and risen Christ. Or as Paul puts it:
“… that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (vs.15)
It is to be fully persuaded that Christ is our only hope, seeing as how we will all ultimately fall into the hands of the living God who will assess us all on account of our deeds, a fearsome thing to all who are not out of their mind. And along with this persuasion that Christ is our only hope, is an equal persuasion that God loves us through his Christ, ultimately and completely. Or as Paul puts it:
“… Christ’s love compels us … one died for all …” (vs.14)
And so those who are truly in their right mind, live plain and open lives before God and everyone all of their days, openly and plainly striving to persuade others of the sanity of such, given the great love of Christ for all and the great love of God our Father for raising up Christ.
Holy God and Father, I praise you for your great love, thank you for sending your Son, confess to you the frequent insanity of my ways and ask you to remember me for good. Because of Jesus and through him, I pray. Amen.
