“Do everything without complaining . . .” (Philippians 2:14 NLT)
This past summer, a Kansas City minister by the name of Will Bowen challenged his church to go 21 days straight without complaining. To help everyone remember, he gave each member a purple elastic wristband. The rules were simple: If you complain, you have to switch the band to the other wrist and start over. It was on the honor system. When all was said and done, how many had not had to switch their wristbands?
“Bowen said even he was ‘demoralized … when I realized how much I did it.'”
