Software updates

If you’re like me, you use Thunderbird as my primary e-mail program. I converted to Thunderbird a year ago and I’ve never looked back; it’s simply that good. Among it’s many abilities are two mighty ones: advanced security and anti-phishing protection. Better still, the latest version (1.5) was just released yesterday. It is a free, six meg. download.

Odds are you have QuickTime Player on your computer as one of your media players. If so, you probably know you can check for updates to the software via the menu. However, what you might not know is that the latest version (ver.7) was released this week. However, older versions (such as 6.5, the version I had), do not detect the availability of this new version.
