Well, I didn’t think I’d ever live to see the day that church attendance was one of the top stories in America, but that certainly has been the case this week given the announcement some of the largest churches in America will close their doors on Sun., Dec. 25. I’d like to know what you think about it all. For an interesting article (and equally interesting, posted comments) on this subject, check out Leadership Journal’s blog (“Out of Ur”) post yesterday entitled “Closed for Christmas: The Ghost of Christmas Past.”
What will MoSt Church do? Oh, we won’t be closing the doors to our 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning worship assembly, that’s for sure! But I have not heard of a decision yet regarding our 9:00 a.m. Bible classes or the 5:00 p.m. assembly that day. We’ll certainly pass the word along asap when it comes our way.
