Made in China

“Made in China.” Seems like everything is these days (and that’s just another reason why, when I have a choice, I deliberately avoid buying products made there). Suffice it to say it’s my small way of doing my part in refusing to help a government that is clearly bent on oppressing those of Christian faith.

If you think like I do, you might be interested in a book recently published entitled The Sinister Way by Richard Von Glahn (Univ. of Calif. Press, 2005). A recent review is should peek your interest. It takes a hard look at popular religion in China. As China becomes more powerful/influential in the world, don’t think for a moment their views of spirituality do not drive and follow the flow.
