Katrina relief efforts in Baytown

Current needs at Baytown Red Cross shelters

Volunteers are needed to assist with the operation of shelters in the Baytown area. A one hour Red Cross volunteer orientation and training session will be presented on Tues., Sept. 6 at 6:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church (304 North Pruett Street; 281-427-4782).

To volunteer to serve as a volunteer at one of the shelters, call (281-420-5818. If you may have difficulty through at this number, but be patient and continue trying.

Nurses are needed to work at some of shelters. Volunteers with nursing credentials should call the Red Cross (281-424-1300).
